September is #WorldAlzheimersMonth. On #MorningBlend on Guardian Radio 96.9FM, we talk with Bahamas Alzheimers Association President Wendyi Poitier, member Kathy Smith, and Dr. Sanita Belgrave King about the warning signs and symptoms, who’s most at risk, and prevention and treatment options.
We also discuss the need for more research on Alzheimer’s in The Bahamas and a “National Dementia Plan”.
As part of the local events planned for World Alzheimer’s Month, there’s this Saturday’s “Memory Walk & Health Expo”, 7:30pm at Arawak Cay.
