Pastor Eddie Victor and the “Coalition of Concerned Citizens” has been advocating for lower costs of power on Grand Bahama. He tells #MorningBlendBusiness on Guardian Radio 96.9FM they also do not support Grand Bahama Power Company being a monopoly electricity provider for GB.
Pastor Victor discusses frustrations with the island’s inconsistent power supply and GBPC’s load shedding.
He says the Grand Bahama Port Authority decision to “suspend” a review of the GBPC’s proposed rate plan is a good step, but any rate hike should be off the table entirely and indefinitely.
