Thousands of homeowners received notices last month that they were suspected of owning/listing a short-term rental without registering with DIR Bahamas.

Controller Shunda Strachan explains to #MorningBlendBusiness on Guardian Radio 96.9FM what to do if you received a notice, and the reasons to register and benefits.

Strachan also tells us that as of September, all businesses renewing/seeking liquor licences will have to register with DIR. Businesses will be required to have a certificate of registration AND a business licence. The changes aim to provide better regulation of alcohol vendors.
