Who will emerge as the top uniformed branch Pop Band in the land?

The Royal Bahamas Police Force, Royal Bahamas Defence Force and The Bahamas Department of Correctional Services will musically duke it out for bragging rights this Friday, say Inspector Cory Hield and PC Gregory Wilson with the Police Pop Band, and Leading Seaman Davin Johnson with the Defence Force Pop Band, on #MorningBlend on Guardian Radio 96.9FM.

“The Battle of Law Enforcement Pop Bands” is slated for June 13 at The Great Lawn at Collins House, Collins Avenue, starting with Happy Hour from 5pm to 7pm, and showtime at 8pm.

Disability advocate Ann Marie Davis, wife of Prime Minister Philip Brave Davis, and Kendrick Rolle, Deputy Chair, National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD) discuss #DisabilityEmpowermentMonth in The Bahamas, and the ongoing work to increase disability awareness in the country, on #MorningBlendBusiness on Guardian Radio 96.9FM.

Events to commemorate the month include NCPD and Ministry of Social Services teaming up with Toastmasters International Toastmaster Club 1600 for a debate titled, "Be it Resolved The Bahamas has made significant strides in providing accessible transportation to persons with disabilities”, June 24 at 6pm, Stapledon School Auditorium, Dolphin Drive.

There’s also Gospel Mania Bahamas #GospelManiaBahamas, June 28 at 6pm, William Thompson Auditorium, Jean Street.
