On #MorningBlend on Guardian Radio 96.9FM, we talk about the latest in the “A Year of Bahamian Theatre” series from Shakespeare in Paradise (SiP) @Ringplay Productions, and The Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts. “Still Standing - Love, Blues, Revolution” Director Dr. Craig Smith and lead actress Rodericka Collie are joined by SiP co-founder Dr. Nicolette Bethel.

The production, running January 19-28 at Baha Mar’s Eccho Museum & Studio Space, features the writings of author/playwright and politician Michael Pintard.

We get a preview of this week’s annual Bahamas Business Outlook (BBO) conference on #MorningBlendBusiness on Guardian Radio 96.9FM. Organizer Joan Albury tells us PM Philip Davis will be the keynote speaker, and the event’s overall theme is the country’s motto “Forward, Upward, Onward, Together”, in celebration of The Bahamas’ 50th anniversary of Independence.

Presenters Toni Seymour, COO, Bahamas Power and Light, Dr. Erik Rolland, President, University of The Bahamas, and Inagua resident Vivian Moultrie - who as a young student in the 1970s was the winner of the Bahamas Motto Competition - give us previews of what we can expect from them at the conference.
