The first-ever Phoenix Awards recognizing and celebrating alumni of The Government High School are slated for Jan. 14. On #MorningBlend on Guardian Radio 96.9FM, former Head Boy Vaughn Albury and Paul Fernander, both from the Class of ‘76, give us some history of THE GHS, and the transition to the school in its current form and location.

The event, with proceeds to support the Alumni Association, is slated for Saturday at 7pm at University of The Bahamas Performance Arts Centre. Tickets are $50 and available at tghsalumni.com/events or at the door.
