LIVE on #MorningBlendBusiness on Guardian Radio 96.9FM, we get reaction to hoteliers saying they are concerned about the government’s plans for a minimum wage hike next year and the introduction of a livable wage.

While the minimum wage is $210 a week ($5.25 per hour) - on average, under $1000 a month - a recent research study by University of The Bahamas on “A Living Wage for The Bahamas”, estimated the net living wage for New Providence would be $2500 per month and $3400 for Grand Bahama, between 200-300% higher than the minimum wage.
