It’s #WorldAIDSDay! On #MorningBlend on Guardian Radio 96.9FM, we talk about the fight against HIV/AIDS in The Bahamas, and how we’re doing in the quest to eradicate HIV/AIDS in the country by 2030.

Dr. Nikkiah Forbes, Director of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases with Bahamas National AIDS Programme, and Lady Camille Barnett, President, The Bahamas AIDS Foundation, discuss where are today and the progress that’s been made, the continuing stigma about AIDS, the importance of knowing your status, and the usefulness of medications like PrEP.

A number of events are planned to commemorate World AIDS Day, including a church service today at 1pm, and “A Sunset Move”, an evening fun-run-walk-cycle event followed by a Happy Hour set for Friday, December 2.
